Do Google lead extensions work? We deployed them about a couple of weeks ago for a Northern California regional B2C Google Ads client that generates a hefty number of leads from traditional Google ads and we have yet to receive even one lead extension lead. The deployment was based on the recommendation of our Google Ads rep but the results are thus far disappointing to say the least.
Our Facebook lead ads generate a large number of leads, so it seems Google has a way to go to catch up. We understand it’s a beta program at this time, but certainly hope it gets better soon. Also it will be interesting to see once such leads start coming in whether they are as valuable as leads from folks who have engaged with a website and learned about our client’s products first. There is definitely such a different between on-Facebook leads and web leads generated from Facebook campaigns. They later are superior!
