Most people who’ve worked much with the Facebook campaign management interface, including the Ads Manager and the Power Editor, seem to agree that it’s not nearly as user friendly as the Google Adwords interface. For example, there does not appear to be a way to simply convert campaigns for click-oriented to conversion-oriented. So here’s a 12-Step process to do that using the ads export feature that InteMarket developed:
HOW TO CONVERT FACEBOOK ADS FROM CLICK OPTIMIZATION TO CONVERSION OPTIMIZATION
- Exported all Ad fields from old ads in old account
- Remove Campaign ID
- Change Campaign and Ad Set Names to New Names
- Change Campaign Objective to Conversions
- Remov Ad Set ID column completely
- Remov Values for “Device Platform” (optional)
- Change Optimization Goal column values to LEAD_GENERATION
- Change Billing Event column values to IMPRESSIONS
- Remove values for Conversion Tracking Pixels column
- Remove AD ID column completely
- Save as Unicode Text File
- Use Import Ads in Bulk function in new account
This will create new ads in a conversion-oriented campaign. Hope this helps! If you need help with Adwords, Facebook or other PPC campaigns, that’s what InteMarket does, so please get it touch via the form on this page!
